It is three years post-COVID. The pandemic halted the music that artists should have released. Many rookies used the opportunity to rise to the limelight. However, the vets comfortably considered the period as an offseason.

Despite the emergence of new variants of the COVID virus, 2021 restored their activities. Hall of Famers like J. Cole, Drake, Kanye West, Young Thug, and others served their fans with standout music packs. Everyone involved in hip-hop music should stay steady with that momentum into 2022 and keep investing their time in music production and promotion.

It is a comeback season for some artists. After four years of releasing “Testing,” A$AP Rocky confirmed that his next album, “All Smiles,” is 90% completed. Expectations are high as Rae Sremmurd comes back with Sremmlife4. According to Swae Lee’s Instagram post, the sequel to 2018’s SremmLife3 will be released before March. There will probably be hits.

The rap game has not been on break. Lil Baby did not release a solo project, but he tag-teamed trap ballads with Lil Durk last year. Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 “Something for the Hotties” still reigns. The artist told Zane that the album was merely an appetizer as she would release a new album in 2022.

Pusha-T, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Future, J.I.D, and some other artists are also planning to surprise their fans. Have a look at the list of the much-awaited hip-hop albums for your favorite artists’ new music content.

Pusha-T

Kemet High noted that something special is coming from Push. The artist has tagged Donda 2 as the “album of the year.” Previously, Push revealed that Kanye West and The Neptunes would produce the album.

Kanye West

Pusha-T’s manager, Steve Victor, regarded the project as a “masterpiece.” The release date for Donda 2 is February 22. In a text thread, Kanye confirmed that he was part of the project.

Lil Uzi Vert

The artist who made four releases in 2020 announced his project “The Pink Tape” in the summer of 2021. He has not revealed the drop date. However, his other projects, Luv Is Rage 3 and Forever Young, have not been released.
