Mary Cheney was born on 14 March 1969 in Madison, Wisconsin, United States to the 46th vice president and 17th secretary of defense of the United States of America and Lynne Cheney. She went to the McLean, Virgina’s McLean High School and graduated in 1987.

After graduation, she went to Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from the Colorado College in 1991. She pursued higher studies at the University of Denver and attained a graduate business degree in 2002.


Mary Cheney started her career soon after passing out from Colorado College. In 1993, she joined forces with the Colorado Rockies baseball team. Cheney worked in promotions.
